This was the very first ‘Leap Year’ wedding I’ve photographed, and I wouldn’t know it at the time but also the last wedding I would shoot before the covid pandemic took a hold on the entire world. Looking back at this I remember how incredibly easy going and carefree this couple was. It was truly a pleasure to photograph this as a documentary wedding photographer. Our wedding planning partner was ‘Weddings by Sonali‘, and we worked alongside one of our favourite videographers, ‘Siyak Seenu’.
The bride and groom got ready at the historical Mount Lavinia Hotel and the church ceremony took place at the imposing ‘Chapel of the Transfiguration’ (built in 1854), set inside the beautiful grounds of St. Thomas’ College in Mount Lavinia. The wedding reception was a beautiful setup at the ‘Tropical Hut’ of the Mount Lavinia Hotel, all the way down on the beach. Have a look at some of my favourite moments from this wedding.
